I let my ten year old open this Christmas gift early because of the blizzard.She was ecstatic. Unfortunately her glee soon turned to despair. After an hour or so of playtime both handles on one side of the sled broke off on her way down the hill.I felt badly that her Christmas toy was broken and it wasn't even Christmas yet.

This thing really sails down the hill and gives you a good ride on packed snow. Three or four times. Then the bottom begins to curl and peel off and you start to think 'good lord, I paid $30 bucks for this!' But your kids keep playing with it, even though it's junk and falling apart. They need to find a new glue to hold the bottom on, then this thing will be worth $30 bucks. Until then, it's a rip off.

We bought a sled with the same construction for my daughter. Loved the ride and it controlled well, but after only 40 minutes of normal use the plastic bottom started peeling from the foam upper. We had to return it.
