Why is this so expensive? 2010-04-22

Wow, the price has sky-rocketed since I bought this. I'm a Nerf-nut, but have no idea why the price is what it is.

I bought it solely for the blaster. I wanted something more ergonomic to use with Ghost Squad & Umbrella Chronicles.

It serves its purpose well. My one complaint is that the grip is sized for a child. I can still get my big mitts around it, but I had hoped it would be sized more like the Nerf Maverick which has a very comfortably sized and sculpted grip.

Perfect First Person Shooter for Younger Children 2010-04-05

My son is 9 and loves both the Wii and Nerf toys, so, of course, this was a perfect game to get him. At first I was a bit worried about how violent the game was. While I don't over-protect my son from video games, there are certain ones that are a bit too violent for his age, so I worried that this would encourage him to shoot people. But the game is great for younger boys because you're not shooting people, you're shooting machines.

The game responds perfectly well and the gun has a good deal of power when you use the dart attachment! Whoever figured out how to take out the shooter part in order to put in the wiimote needs a raise - that was genius! And the little extra bonus of the red decoder is a great deal of fun for kids. I'm very glad that we got this for my son - he truly enjoys it - both ways to play - and now all we need is to get another gun so that we can take him on head to head!

Big kid fun 2010-02-01

I bought this game for a room mate and we play the hect out of it. Its a blast and bielive it or not there is actually a replayability. You dont get all weapons at the start so you have to play the different levels to get other guns. Kinda addicting, esp. with 2 player modes. Buy it, have fun.

My 7 year old son loves this game and as an adult gamer I find it pretty fun myself!

It's also really fun trying out the entire arsenal of Nerf guns available.

A great shooter for kids 2009-10-19

This is a great first-person shooter game for younger kids. Up to 4 kids can battle against various mechanical bots on a wide variety of missions. The guns they use are modeled after popular Nerf guns so young kids can really identify with it. I bought the combination package that included the game and one Nerf shooter which can hold a Wii mote [...]. I also bought a second Nerf shooter so 2 kids could play together. While the guns are not necessary to play the game, they do seem to make it funner. Best of all, the guns come with foam darts so they can be used for playing without the Wii too.
