sweet ride 2010-03-03 |
| By Val (Seattle, WA) |
We've had this for just over 24 hours, and my almost 2.5 year old girl loves it. My husband's comment was 'wow that is a serious trike!'
Pros- normal bike tires (good suspension and traction, plus easy to patch/repair/replace), metal frame (long lasting), adjustable seat position (box claims 26" to 38"), actual seat instead of a saddle (harder to to fall off of for younger kids), retro style, cool bell
Cons- heavy/big (needs more room to store, more effort to lift), not tip proof (My daughter tipped it once going down our driveway, once turning on our street. That said it took a a fair amount to tip and she was fine once she learns how to safely turn it will be fine, doubt that any trike is truely tip-proof)
Over all I am very happy with this trike. My daughter loves it. Watch out as it is easy to pedal backwards and if you are walking behind them you could get hit by the backdeck in the ankles.
Also be advised that you will need an adjustable wrench, phillips head screwdriver and a bike pump w/ pressure gauge to assemble. Instruction were a little confusing especially with my daughter wanting to help, but took less than 10 minutes.
Don't forget to buy a helmet! |

| With only a few parts, this trike was easy as could be to asemble. Our grandson loves it, although he is so small we needed to get some pedal blocks. |
Roadster was a hit! 2010-02-24 |

| My twin granddaughters loved their new trikes. Loved the bell naturally and thought they were pretty cool!! Would buy again. Made extremely good. Should hold up for years to come. |
My daughter loves this bike! 2010-02-17 |

| We bought this for our daughter's second birthday, and WOW it is a big hit. I especially like the seat design along with how low the bike it. I was initially going to get her a traditional tricycle but was worried she'd tip it over. This bike solves that problem. As far as the minimum age, my daugher's feet just barely hit the pedals and she's a very tall 2 year old (35 inches). Her friend, who is a bit shorter, cannot yet reach the pedals. |
Your Search Is OVER! 2010-02-14 |

| You are so close to purchasing the Perfect tricyle. Do not bother to search any further than this well designed and manufactured, piece of equipment! Having wanted to find a tricyle that incorporated the "Good Old Days" look/feel, with todays ride quality, I found it in this Schwinn!! Upon opening and assembling the bike, my expectations were met and slightly exceeded. The assembly was super easy and fast! The Red Chassis is beautifully shaped and the Vibrant paint looks and feels fantastic. The wood step and "chrome" fenders flow nicely with the wide rear stance of the bike giving it a fantastic, well balanced ride. With an adjustable seat that sits at a low center of gravity helps keep the bike sturdy while this new rider is pushing it with his feet. The handlebars look and function equally well. It's wide sling back design, provides an easy reach, also the steering requires light input and is very smooth. And all of this goodness is riding on 3 nicely treaded rubber tires that actually have air in them. Basically, it does not get any better or easier! A wonderful product, delivered to your door in short order and free, all at half the cost of the bike itself!! If all my purchases went this well, I'm not sure what I would do with the extra time and money! P.S. I did remove the bell. The sound was awful and I did not like the look. |
