Customer rating is 2 of 5  Good Bag, better hope nothing goes wrong with any parts   2009-07-17
By Mark D. Jones (Huntsville, AL United States)
We got the bag from the local rink store (Skateworld Huntsville, AL) on 9/25/08.

The first fan had to be replaced because the plastic knob was broken.

The shoulder strap connects via 2 clips mounted on the bag. One of those clips is bad, the inside edge is sharp and has cut the strap on the bag to pieces. The only way to get it repaired is to ship the bag across the country so it can be replaced since they don't have any replacement parts available. The cost of shipping it there and bag will be over $20 all to replace a $.50 part.

What a waste.

Customer rating is 3 of 5  Nice bag - dryer not so impressive   2007-10-06
By a31papa (CA USA)
I have to agree with the previous review that the dryer is just so-so. I don't know if they implemented it as a sales gimmick or what, but the 3 hour drying time is a joke. The dryer barely gets warm enough to call it "warm." Maybe they made it this way to prevent things from catching on fire. Who knows. What I do know is that even 6 hours of drying time is not enough. I've found that 3 3hour cycles (12 hours total) is most definitely needed for me to achieve full drying of my equipment. This is funny, because letting it simply air dry hanging up it takes 1/4 this time.

The dryer would be a good solution if you don't have room to hang your equipment up, or have a wife who can't stand the smell, as well as don't mind the 8-12 hours required for drying in the bag.

All that on the side, this bag is amazing. I love the material they made it with. It seems extremely durable and yet it's very very light. There's lots of netted pocket space inside the two gigantic flaps for placing jerseys, socks & other clothing - tape, whatever. Two more pockets on the outside on one end of the bag (one with organizing mini-inner pockets) are great. There's also one more long pocket that runs the length of the bag on one side. The roller-blade style wheels are smooth and make for transporting the bag easy. No sense breaking your back shouldering the equipment when you could simply tote it behind you in a safer manner.

Some places on the web as well as local stores are charging as much as $189 for the combination of both bag & dryer. That's ridiculous considering how little amazon.com has it listed for (as well as where I bought it).

Even if the dryer wasn't included, I'd buy the bag alone at the price amazon is listing it. I love how it's compartmentalized! Best hockey bag I've ever had.
Customer rating is 3 of 5  Bag is ok, 40" is huge and drying is so so   2007-06-07
By E. Budke (NY USA)
Got this bag a few weeks ago. The hard shape because of the divider is different for me. The 40" bag is giagantic and thus anti-carpooling with a bunch of other people. The drying works ok but needs much more than one 3hr run. Takes about 12 hrs of running to get stuff dry in the spring/summer where it is arguably more humid than in the winter. Hard to do 12hrs straight on a 3 hour timer. That said the stuff does smell better. I'm going to try the smaller version, maybe it will dry better too since more flow

No idea why or if it is getting discontinued (as the 2006 model is listed at some stores)
